Gyani Pradhan Wong Ah Sui is a Mauritian-Sikkimese filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist whose practice explores the intersections of identity, memory, and belonging. Their work draws from lived experiences as an immigrant navigating the complexities of home and cultural dislocation. Through analog photography and experimental fiction film, they craft emotionally resonant works that interrogate diasporic melancholia, repressed identity, and spiritual reconnection.

Their practice is grounded in an ongoing investigation of liminal spaces—geographically, culturally, and emotionally. Each piece is an attempt to synthesize their relationship with the places they have called home and the soil under their feet. Irrespective of the medium, the body is centered as the site for mindful engagement and experience with the work, prioritizing emotion over understanding and the pursuit of abstraction forgoing verisimilitude in favor of distillation.

They are a co-founder of Yonic Production Company, a film company based out of Worcester.
