After emigrating to the U.S., Nihara seeks the help of a cryptic and unsettling doctor to revive her comatose mother, whose overwhelming homesickness has trapped her in a labyrinth of vivid, nightmarish dreams. As Nihara questions the doctor’s true intentions, reality begins to fracture, forcing her into a battle for both her mother’s awakening and her own sense of self.
